Faced with its national Bandag University meeting, Bandag, Inc. needed a dynamic way to kick-off the event and focus on the theme of execution.

We met the challenge with the Medieval Rescue, a full-scale experiential learning game for over 200 participants. During the game, teams of villagers raced across the map to rescue a princess from the evil inhabitants of Warfleigh. Following the game, participants learned how their behavior in the Medieval Rescue might be similar to the way they work in their market teams and regions, and learned key concepts for improving teamwork and achieving desired results. Then, each region held a separate meeting to discuss what was learned and establish action plans for improved execution in the upcoming year.
